As I sit down to write this blog post, I'm filled with a sense of wow and gratitude.
The 21st of November marked the 6th-year anniversary of Littlelifesteps, and what a journey it has been!!!
Time has flown by, and I find myself reminiscing about the humble beginnings of this incredible venture.
When I first started on this journey I had just left the NHS after 14 years and looking back I think I felt a bit lost in my first year.
I felt like I lost my identity as the NHS was familiar and safe for me.
Running a business was a whole new ball game.
What's particularly special about this anniversary is that the inspiration for this blog theme – iron and strength – came from one of my amazing mums within my Littlelifesteps community.
She has tremendous strength as she manages everyday with 2 small children and a chronic illness of (Functional neurological disorder.) It was her suggestion that I explore the symbolism of iron, perfectly representing the robust strength that accompanies six years of growth and achievement.
But also lets not forget about the strength of my families I have worked with.
Six years ago, on the 21st of November, I nervously delivered my first workshop as liittlelifesteps on the "Introduction to Solids."
I delivered this workshop in the NHS at children's centres but being a solopreneur was very scary with a big mix of excitement.
Picture this – a cozy living room filled with eager mums, their little bundles of joy, and a spread of nibbles and drinks.
It felt like a Tupperware party for parenting enthusiasts!. Little did I know that this would be the spark that ignited the flame of Littlelifesteps.
I also started out doing IAIM infant massage sessions in the home environments too.A five week course I delivered in the NHS too.
See the lovely photo below.
These babies are at school now, crazy how time flies!
Fast forward to today, and oh, how my sessions have evolved.
From intimate gatherings in living rooms to engaging online workshops, live zooms and a few home visits. Littlelifesteps has transformed, much like my parents and little ones I have supported.
I have had many laughs especially during my filming of my online courses. ( see blunder below lol)
The community has grown, and so has my wealth of knowledge I share. I have never done so much learning, not just in childhood development but in business growth.
Who knew how much there was to know about growing a business.
My most recent achievement was becoming an accredited Goulding Method -sleep Talk Consultant.
(drop me a message or book in a free call if you want to find out more about this magical method)
I had to be very disciplined to do my homework and now can't wait to share with more families.
In a world where the pressures on our children are increasing, the Goulding Method emerges as a superhero for parents, offering a simple yet powerful method that can work wonders in just a few minutes each night.
Developed by Joane Goulding, this method taps into a specific stage of a child's sleep cycle, making it an optimal time for subconscious learning and instilling positive messages that can shape a brighter mindset.
How amazing is that?
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
To each member of the Littlelifesteps family – A BIG VIRTUAL HUG for choosing me, purchasing my courses, PDF's, reading my emails and responding with "Love this!! email"
or "That really resonated with me."
It really does mean a lot.
Your support and encouragement have been the backbone of this incredible journey. The heart warming comments I recently got from parents about how I made them feel was truly special.
The 6th anniversary is traditionally known as the Iron Anniversary. It symbolizes strength – a fitting metaphor for the resilience and determination of myself and my families.( Especially all the little ones who have overcome a hurdle like poo phobia or scared to sleep alone or starting school to name a few)
All little superstars in my eyes.👁️👁️
In celebration of this strength, my upcoming newsletter promises a treasure trove of resources designed to empower you on your parenting journey.
We're diving into the final letter of my POWER acronym, R for resources and I can't wait to share it with you on December 1st 2023.
It's been a journey for me and my families of :
learning,
sharing,
and growing together.
The challenges we've faced have been overcome by hard work and determination to provide the best for the little ones.
Cheers to Six Incredible Years.
So, here's to six incredible years and to many more on the horizon.
I have something exciting coming next year , my parenting membership bringing more fun and calm into households.
I have always dreamt of a membership as I believed it is the best way to make lasting impact with my families.
May the strength of iron inspire us all to embrace the challenges, celebrate the victories, and continue supporting each other in this beautiful adventure called parenthood.
I want to raise one to all my families and extend my heartfelt wishes to each member of this wonderful community.
May the next six years be filled with even more joy, strength, and, of course, lots of hugs even if they are over text or zoom.
Thank you for being an integral part of the Littlelifesteps family – here's to the journey ahead.
"Salut!"
