"Seven Years, Seven Stories, and Many Transformations"

7 success stories of guiding parents to help their children through life's challenges.

Seven years ago, Littlelifesteps began with a mission to empower families through life’s ups and downs.

Today, I’m celebrating not only the journey but the incredible families I’ve had the honour to work with. This past year has been one of growth—setting boundaries to avoid burnout, traveling in campervans for some well-deserved rest, and continuing to support families with sleep, behaviour, toileting, and starting school.

To mark this milestone, I’m sharing seven heartfelt stories from parents who have allowed me to be part of their parenting journey. But that’s not all!

Grab a cuppa and dive into these incredible stories of transformation and triumph.

1. "Super Sue, Our Hero!" – Jarsha’s Story 🌟

"I honestly don’t know what I would have done without Super Sue. She’s been an incredible help in so many areas—from sleep training to potty training and behaviour management. Her support has been invaluable. She’s so knowledgeable, understanding, and approachable.

Sue is truly our superhero, and I’d recommend her to anyone. She’s always been there for me, whether offering advice or simply listening, even when I’m in tears. I’ve been with her since day one, and I’m so grateful for all the support she’s given us. It’s brought us closer as a family. Thank you, Little Life Steps—my Super Sue!"

This family was the first family to call me "SuperSue" :-)

2. "Every Family Needs a Sue" – Payal’s Experience 💛

"It’s probably easier to list what I haven’t consulted Sue about! I knew of Sue before I had kids myself. I really admired how she worked, and then when I was navigating being a first-time mum during the pandemic, there was only ever one person I was going to speak to.

It started with needing help with my daughter’s sleep at 9 months and slowly transitioned into help with weaning, potty training, cot-to-bed transitions, and more recently, preparing for the arrival of another baby. Sue doesn’t just give advice; she tailors it to fit your family.

Every stage, every child is different, and every family dynamic is unique. What I appreciate most is how Sue takes all of this into account. Not every day is perfect, but every day there’s calm and harmony because of Little Life Steps. Sue has helped me become a more confident mum, and for that, I’ll always be grateful."

Payal is the founder of The Family health hub where she specialises in spinal health and other well being treatments for physical pain.

My hubbie has been to the clinic and highly recommends them.

3. "From Poo Fear to Parenting Peace" – Caroline’s Story 🚽

We have known Sue for several years now. I was first recommended to Sue by a friend. We were trying to potty train our son, a task I wasn’t expecting to become such an issue. Our little boy developed a terrible poo fear, he was terrified of the thought of pooing or weeing anywhere other than in his nappy.

At the time I was distraught we ended up at A&E where he had to have an enema. Then we met Sue, I was sceptical, would these things that were being suggested really work? I decided I follow her advice to the letter.

I’ll never forgot the first time of taking the nappy away completely with Samuel screaming I called Sue and she was there to say it’s going to be ok and gave me advice. With time and Sue’s methods our son started to improve and we still to this day feel a sense of joy when he does a poo on the toilet, which is every single day and has been since Sue helped us, he would go days holding it before.

Sue has been on hand to help with other issues, our son struggled with starting school and again we followed Sue’s advice and it improved. My son recently developed a tick, but with Sue's advice it has now gone.

I often find myself giving these golden nuggets of advice to other parents experiencing these issues. Asking for help will totally transform your child’s life for the better. We thank Sue so much for all her help

Caroline is the founder of Bespoke beauty treatments and training. I have had an amazing facial at her salon, if you want a little treat yourself give her a message.

4. "Potty Training, Tantrums, and Tantrum-Free Days" – Kirstie’s Reflection ❤️

Sue is a gem, and one I don’t mind sharing! She’s helped our family through potty training, tantrums, starting school, and most recently, sleep talk. Her wisdom, encouragement, and enthusiasm cannot be compared. I am thankful every day that I found her. Every family needs a Sue😀. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

5. "Life Before Sue Was Uncertain" – Lucy’s Words 🌈

Life before Sue was unsure, it was frustrating and it was tricky to know which way to turn with both potty training and sleep training too on our parenting journey. Sue really does work wonders! Her knowledge, her approach and her kindness are simply the best.

Lucy is founder of Any little thing for the elderly. If you need support caring for elderly look her up.

6. "From Sleep Battles to Sweet Dreams" – Sammy’s Transformation 🌙

Our family has had the privilege of working with Sue for the past six years, and we couldn’t be more grateful for her guidance and support. I first met Sue when I attended her potty training workshop for my first child. From the very beginning, Sue’s expertise, kindness, and encouragement made such a difference. She was always there to offer practical advice, and I found her incredibly helpful and approachable throughout the entire process.

Since then, Sue has supported us at several key stages. Her new school starter course gave me the confidence I needed to prepare my son for this big transition. Sue’s suggestions were spot on and worked beautifully, helping to make the experience smooth and positive for our whole family.

Most recently, Sue introduced us to the Goulding Sleep Method after I reached out with some sleep concerns. Bedtimes have always been a bit of a challenge with my very active son, but after just three months of following Sue’s guidance, bedtimes have transformed beyond belief. The process is now calm and positive, and my son is finally getting the sleep he needs. It has been life-changing for all of us.

If I were to describe Sue in three words, they would be supportive, understanding, and non-judgmental. As a parent, it’s so easy to feel isolated when facing challenges, but Sue has been a constant source of reassurance and support. Her wealth of knowledge, combined with her compassionate and non-judgmental approach, has made her an invaluable resource for our family.

We feel so fortunate to have worked with Sue over the years and cannot thank her enough for her ongoing support.

7. "From Tears to Triumph" – Roxanne’s Journey 💪

We first meet Sue when I was 37 weeks pregnant with our youngest Son and our eldest Son was Poo withholding. Of course at the time I didn’t realise that was what was happening, all I knew was I had a screaming 2 year 9 month old every time he went near a toilet or potty and  I was about to bring a newborn baby in the house so needed help and quickly.  My husband and I really had no idea what was going on as he’d been dry and clean day/night since he was 2 years and 3 months. I can remember the day I reached out to Sue like it was yesterday. One Sunday afternoon desperate for help I started googling local services that maybe able to help our little boy who hadn’t pooed probably in weeks and was in a lot of pain. I completed the online enquiry form and within 30 minutes I had a call booked in with Sue for the same day and I can honestly say we have never looked back.

The moment we spoke I knew Sue just got it and really felt the upset and stress I was going through as a heavily pregnant woman with a very sad little boy. During our first call she gave advice that I started to use immediately and started to work but we booked in a full 121 a few days later when my husband could also join the call.

Again during  the 121 session everything just made sense, it was like she had meet our Son and us before. We followed her every word, within days our son was Pooing on the toilet and within weeks he was doing it all by himself.

I can honestly say it changed all of our life’s and we have used Sue for many things over the years including most recently her Goulding Sleep Training sessions which give parents a deeper connection with their child.

Anyone with children needs Sue’s number in their phone, nothing is too much trouble. Happy 7 years Littlelifesteps, thank you so much for everything.

Here’s to the Next 7 Years – and a Special Thank You! 🎁

To all the incredible families who’ve trusted me on this journey, thank you, thank you, thank you.

Your stories of growth, resilience, and love inspire me every day. These seven years have been filled with lessons, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

Cheers to seven years of Littlelifesteps, and here’s to the next seven.

With gratitude and love,
Super Sue xx
